Ordering Repeat Prescriptions
Ordering your prescription from 1st September 2019
As you may be aware, Darlington Clinical Commissioning Group has removed the option for patients to order their medication through their local pharmacy. You will, therefore, no longer be able to ask your chemist to order your medication from us from 1st September 2019. Please note this is a not a surgery decision.
Options available to you from 1st September:
- NHS app – download the app on your phone and order medication when convenient to you (very easy to use)
- Use our dedicated email address:firstname.lastname@example.org
- Drop in the white part of your prescription to the surgery with the items you require ticked
- Post your prescription to us
Alternatively, for some patients who are on regular medication which does not change, we can move you to repeat dispensing. This means we issue 6 months or 12 months of prescriptions in one process, which means you only have to contact us again in 6 or 12 months’ time. Your pharmacy will receive 6 or 12 months’ worth of prescriptions and will process these each month for you, ready to collect. Please note not all patients or medications are suitable for this.
We apologise to any patient who will find the lack of ordering through their pharmacy inconvenient. This was not a surgery decision but one taken by our local CCG to ensure patient safety and efficiency savings.
There is also an option of ordering online via Systmone
To request your medication online you will need a username and password. Please come into the surgery and bring along proof of your identity (e.g driving licence, passport etc) and fill in the form provided.
Please note that this service is not available to patients aged 13-16
Please note that all new registrations for the online service can take up to 4 hours to validate your new login, please refrain from trying to log on until then. Once you have obtained your username and password from the surgery please click on the banner above.
